White smoke means water. Maybe water is entering the combustion chamber somehow. Either through a crack in the head or a bad head gasket. Another remote possibility is that the fuel you used has some water in it. Did you get the fuel from a reliable source? Was your fuel container free of water when you filled it? White smoke can also be seen when an engine first starts up after sitting for a while in cold weather. The water that collects inside the exhaust system will cause the white smoke until it gets burned off. You say that it now blows white smoke almost all the time, so I don't think it is coming from the exhaust system because that would burn off quickly.
