I probably did not offer a clear explaination in my previous description. Both valves are closed at TDC but as such could not be certain if I was on the compression cycle. I rotated the engine one revolution, and during that cycle, the intake valve did open and close before returning to TDC. This is the point I have left it believing it is at the proper point for installation of the pump. Does this sound about right? Thanks for the response, Brett
