Brad, if my memory serves me right, the block is wider on a DT-407 because of the bigger bore. The heads might be the same, but the head gaskets are different between the 2. They both have dry sleeves, but the 407 has a longer stroke than the 361. On the turbo models, the DT-361s used 2 different engine oil coolers, later one I believe is the same as the 407. I'm sure there are other little differences between the 2 engines.
