Probably way too new. I think those lights came out in the 50's when states started requiring red lights on the back of tractors for safety reasons. Dad bought a '44 H in about '52 from a dealer & he had to put one on before he could sell it-at least that what he told us, as a new state law required it on all tractors sold through dealierships. (The '44 H that Dad bought new didn't have this type of light originally.) IH's supplier later came out w/small red lens inside the tail light powered by a smaller bulb. I have a '53 Super C that I bought from the guy who bought it new. He told me that he never made any modifications to and it has one of these. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
