Craig,I had a 57 Chevy with a hyd clutch,it had an IH slave cyl on it to work the clutch,it would go bad from time to time because of it's location,when I would change it in order to get it to get fluid through it I would have to pump it just as fast and hard as I could with the bleeder closed to get it to pump fluid into the slave cyl.That may help.
