It was a disaster to IH. The 560 with a 6 cylinder engine was built around the basic transmission components that orginated with the M in 1939. It was just too much power and all early production units where recalled (not all made it in though). IH tore down and rebuilt the rear ends on thousands of tractors. The cost to IH's reputation and the cost in dollars was enourmous, the 560 was to be their showcase tractor. The tractors themselves soldiered on for years and are fairly reliable. As a baler tractor it will work out just fine.
