I was told in 1981 by a IH oil rep that the bearing failures in the 560 was caused by bad
oil. I wish I could find documentation on this. Here in the salvage yard (Jones Salvage)
we very seldom sell parts for the 560 rear ends. Where we live in North Central
Nebraska there are more 560's here now than when they were new. The 560 is the
tractor of choice for in the hay fields.
