I would never buy a tractor at a consignment auction that wouldn't even start. You say they guaranteed it would start but would they do ride and drive? I know if it where my tractor I would have made sure the battery was good enough for at least one last start, unless I was trying to hide a major mechanical problem. Instead of missing out on a bargain you might have dodged a bullet.
