The 990 is 1970s technology. I traded a 17 year old NH for a 990 and the following year I traded the 990 for a NH In the 18 or so years New Holland had gone down hill also. These guys had to cut the quality of sickle mower conditioners, by the 1980s. How else would they have got farmers to buy disc bines. They knew old guys like me wouldn't be buying another one and the young fellows wouldn't remember the old ones. Oh by the way you will get along just great on the volumes you are talking about. Just check the gear boxes, bearings, sickle and reel for wear.
