Pull types are reasonably priced. IH 400 cyclos are good. We've used a 8 row for years and like it. 4 & 6 rows are around, but stick with a 4 on the 300. 56 and 58 plate planters are good too. I like plate planters on sweet corn (IH 249 is what I use) because you can plant more than one variety at a time without mixing them. 494 JD's are good from everything I hear too. If you don't mind a little older, 449 (4-row of a 249) and 449A are good too, most have runners and most are mechanical lift. 449 bring $200 down, 56&58 bring $500 down, 400 bring $800 down for good working planters in my neighborhood (NCIN). Nice 56 brought $750,a nice 400 liquid fert. brought $1150. 2 rows bring more than 4, 4 & 6 rows cost roughly the same (older planters). My thoughts, AG.

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
