NG - Sounds like wet stacking as Jim suggests. However note diesel wet stacking can also be caused by extended idling or running under light load. Operating the engine too cold (bad or missing thermostat) can also cause it.

Suggest that before you tackle valve guides, pump settings etc. check the temperature gage and thermostat and replace if necessary. You want a minimum coolant temp of 160 - 170 degrees after warmup. Then run the tractor under load at governed RPM for a half hour or longer (do some plowing, disking, etc) and see if the problem goes away.
