Thanks for the info Jere. I can probably look up the basic torque data on these types of bolts. This is one of those projects where the tractor is running just fine before you start working on it. I installed a new head gasket and sleeve O-rings because I was getting a litte bit of water in the crankcase over a period of time. My problem is the rod bearings. My plastic gauges are telling me I have .0025 to .003 clearance but I can't turn the crank with the spark plugs removed. The crank spins fine without the rods connected. I think I may be losing the side clearance on the rod bearings, but don't know what do about it. I've taken the rod bearings apart and put them back together so many times in the last 6 hours I'm about ready to pull my hair out.
