What about the points and condesor,have you changed them?Ill bet the points are closed up on iyt due to the wear block being worn out.OR it could be as simple as fuel starvation,enough gets in it to keep it running ok under no load but as soon as you go to a higher gear,there not enough to keep it going.Check the fuel tank,sediment bowl and lines for obstructions."Clean carb aint no good if it aint no gas in it!"
