Larry: Gear oil is what was recomended when they were built. I think if I were you I would stick with it. Hy-tran tends to get by those old seals, and gear oil just a bit thicker. I still use gear oil in my SA, 130 and 140. I have also heard that Hy-tran may stop those leaks, who knows for sure unless you try it. Even then It is a poor recomendation as my tractor my have different wear than yours or indeed a third one.
