I was out mowing the blackberrry bushes and the thistles with the Super A this morning. When I finished, I was driving it up the hill to the house when I noticed some growling in what I thought was the transmission. Then I noticed the left wheel was wobbling back and forth like the bolts on the wheel were loose. When I got stopped and grabbed the wheel I could rock it back and forth from side to side. I pulled the wheel and then the inspection plate on the back side of the wheel housing and a bolt fell out. The bolt that held the end of the axle in place had worked loose and allowed the axle to move out of the inside beearing and then was supported only by the outside bearing. The end of the bolt was all chewed up, but the threads in the end of the axle were okay. I plan on going to a nut and bolt shop on Monday and get a new bolt to put in there. Has anyone had this happen to them? Is it common? I haven't gotten a manual yet, so I am wondering if there are any special precautions I need to take when putting it back together?
