the throttle is supposed to have a block on it that catches grooves in the metal peice it slides along ( if it is like an A or B, only ran one once) and they tend to wear off, a pair of vicegrips could do the job if your looking for a cheap way around it, some 4x4 or 4x6 or 6x6 blocking or some cement blocks(with holes vertical) and some plywood shims will amply support the rear section if you have some, thats what we used on our 1566, and a decent rolling hoist should do the job for the front section.
