I split my Super C recently, using a simple engine hoist for the front, and supported the torque tube with a barrel rack, one of those you lean a 55 gallon drum on its side with. It has little casters which worked perfectly to roll back the rear end on, with some wood blocking to support it. The rear is fairly well balanced when split, and does not need any heavy-duty support. The engine can be a little squirrely without proper support.
