Cub Mower Belt turns in pto pully

I have a 47 Cub with a Woods L-42 mower deck. I got a new belt from my NAPPA store. The salesman matched the PTO pully with a picture of a belt from his book and gave me a NAPPA B136 50 belt. It seems to fit fine but will turn on it's side in the PTO pully after just a few seconds. I have tightened the idler pullys as tight as I can, and it still turns. Any ideas? Is this the correct belt? Thanks, Craig
