the hole you are looking to fill probably had a electric hour meeter some cubs did as for the two diffrent brake shoes if i had to guess i would say someone changed one side and put in the newer style brakes a full circle brake with the linkage rod attached to brake shoe thats all i can tell you after checking my books good luck little red
