I like and use Champion plugs in my super H. I use D-21 plugs, because I let it "loaf"ost of the time and the hotter plug (D21) burns off the deposits that would be normal for an engine that is used for light work and prolonged idling-both actions that form deposits rapidly. The usual heat range Champion plug would be D16Y,the most heat is the D23 plug. It is important to learn to Read the plugs and use that info to choose the correct plug for your application.Plugs with the proper heat range and assuming that the timing and carb are tuned, the plug should have a tan or light brown color to it to show proper combustion. I have never had any problems with any brand of spark plug,as long as the correct plug (heat range, reach, gap, etc.) was used. I use Champions because that's what was in them when they were new. I hope this stirs some opinions about spark plug reading-you can tell all about your tuning from the condition of the plugs. HB

How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
