How many of you Super A, 100, 130 and 140 guys have ever found a mystery wire in wiring harness that goes from dash along left side of tractor to generator or alternator, regulator and lights. This wire is about 10 or 12 gauge, starts at dash, and about 18" of wire is coiled up and taped to wires going to the right hand lights, just under the water pump. This wire is not connected to anything, and indeed is not needed for equipment on tractor. This wire does not show in any wiring diagrams I have seen. I have owned 6 of these tractors over years. I found this wire for the first time in Farmall 140. I know of one other 140 with same wire. Anyone know what it is for? All ignition and mag kill switch wires go along right side of tractor.
