I had the same trouble with my Super A. Bearings on the counter shaft and the ring and pinion gear adjustment, thats done with the shims on the differential bearing cages on the transmission housing > BIG job!. Good luck.

As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor. My Papaw had a 1954 IH Super A that he bought to replace a Cub.
