W9 / 806 carb rebuild??

Just got through putting the bottom half of an 806 carb on my w9, It sounds real good and runs good, Do i need to make any special adjustments to the carb or the timing?, When i put a load on it i get some black smoke for a bit. Thanks for the help, TR
