If you have a shop crane or can borrow one it would be a good time to pull the engine so you can install a new rear main seal, check the clutch, main bearings and things like that. I have installed sleeve/ piston kits and then had to pull the engine or split the tractor because of a leaking seal or bad clutch. Rather than split the tractor I like to pull the front bolster and then the engine because I usually need to work on the bolster too. This works well for me anyway and hope it helps with your 300.
