OK, I'm just a couple of days away from painting my full Super C restoration. I want to do this right, with the resources at hand. I have never done any spray-painting before. I have a gallon and a half of IH 2150 paint ($43/gallon). I (like Kelly C) have purchased a cheap spray gun from Harbor Freight. I would really like to use some hardener, but I am scared to death of the stuff after reading several posts about it, and I don't really know how to rig up a home-made supplied air respirator (I'm not spending $150+ for some half face mask for a one-shot deal). I have read here that paint doesn't spread well if not thinned properly. What happens if you thin it too much?? Anyway, any advice would be appreciated. It's beautiful in Central Alabama right now, and I need to get this done really quickly, since it will get hot & humid soon, and I sweat profusely, and sweat and paint don't mix!! Thanks. :0)
