They were common in most places around the country were they were needed. I have been told b y a few people that though they were common alot of farmers took they off because the wheels would get caked with mud an would be a pain in the backside. I guess it were you live, how bad is the mud or clay, how well you like them or how bad you hated them is how I see it. I have them on both my 42 an 43 H's an they work well, I also have one on my F20 but it's more for show since it only pulls hay, hay rides or goes to shows an dozen't see wet fields or mud :o)
