hello, here could be another possibility. i have had two antique motorcycle tanks and a tractor tank done at my local radiator shop. the cost was 40-45 dollars each to have them cleaned an coated inside. this included soldering the seams if there was a leak. they put the tanks under low pressure to test for leaks. the over the counter coatings were around 30 dollars a quart around here and i still would have to worry about cleaning and soldering myself. i just bit the bullet and had it done. just another twist. greg
