You got it figured out. When you washed it, the lining got wet and rusted to the pressure plate and flywheel. You did not really hurt anything if it has only been a week. The trick is to get it to release. There are several methods of doing this. The easiest and probably most dangerous is to tow the tractor to a field or laneway, then put it in gear, start it up, and of course it will take off. With the clutch pedal pressed in, run the throttle up and back to put a load on the clutch, and it will easily pop loose. Dont try this near buildings, livestock, or kids! If you get in trouble, shut it off.
