You are absolutely right, I grew up on a Farmall H without power steering, even with with the McCormick #31 loader and the bucket full, I still didn't have a problem. Presently I own an H and I have a #31 loader on it. This tractor does have power steering, in good working condition. Does it help? Only if the engine is running at fairly high R.P.M.s, which you don't normally have when using a loader. No, I don't want to give up the power steering, but if the tractor hadn't already had it when I bought it, I wouldn't bother with putting it on.
