Kelly, Now's your BIG chance. Tell your wife you need some help. Take your pick up truck, or something "beefy" out and chain it to the H. Put your wife in that vehicle. You jump on the H. If you've done a good job at getting it stuck, the pick up will just spin its wheels. If not, STAND on the brakes of the H while the truck spins wheels. Next get a friend to stop by with his tractor and --- while your wife is watching -- pull the H out of the muck with little or no effort. Your next line has just gotta be -- "See, honey, it really is important that we have two running tractors around here at all times. Until I get my resoration project tractor running, I think we ought to get another tractor just for these kinds of emergencies!" Sounds crazy, but worked for me. Scare up Roger Welsch, for a second opinion; as he's the expert on left field rationalizations for buying more tractors, and may give you more embellishments to put on that kind of spin.
