Wide fronts will do it too. Here lately in he cattle lots with alot of hay/manuere/and straw and sloppy wet weather the wide front even sinks down and starts to bulldoze. Wide front ends are alot less likely to do it most of the time than narrow fronts, but don't let anybody tell you they won't because they will do it too if the conditions are right. I got an M stuck one time in the same manner you did. I thought it was dry enough, and it was, but I ran into a soft place with the narrow front end and it just sank right down in the ground. Just shut it off and waited for it to dry a little and it backed right out. Just don't let that mud get dry and hard as a rock if the front wheel's are bald up. I have just got to the point that I don't even start tricycles up unless I know for sure it is dry enough. But sooner or later, I'm bound to push it to the limits and get one stuck again sometime.
