I have parts info for the WD-9 and the MD. I think the MD would be the same as the WD-6. Part numbers are not the same. For MD, IH pt 61061 DA, Delco number 1108913. For WD-9 IH pt 356198 R91, Delco number 1881148. So I think the answer is No, won't work.
