Dead MD

I have a 51 MD that runs good on gas but won't run on diesel. Have operating pressure at the pump, and have pressure up to injectors. Checked the poppet valves, and they close when you switch it over to diesel. It has been sitting for a few years, so is it possible that the injectors could be stuck? Any suggestions would greatly appreciated.
