We just had our county fair in Tucson and our local club puts on pulls 2 weekends in a row. I've been working on my H for over 2 years now trying to get it to be competitive in the 3500-4500 Lbs class. When I overhauled the engine a year and a half ago, I did a few tricks to try to get a few more ponies out of her but they never seemed to come out when I needed them. But I finally worked out the problem. These last 2 weekends my H has really opened some eyes, she did 3 full pulls, and one 184 ft pull befor spinning out. I did one unofficial pull to see how far I could take the sled and pulled her out to 225 ft befor I ran out of track. It took me a lot of trial and error to get the power down into the lugging speed, I've always had the top end power but she would just peter out when the load got heavy instead of lugging along.
