Jon, I have a '54 cub lo-boy industrial model that does that same thing. I have run it for years like this and and never had a lick of trouble with the engine. It has however,steadily gotten worse. Your rear main seal on the engine is leaking but not badly as of yet. When it finally goes, you'll have about 4 quarts of oil dump out of that little holein a matter of about 30 seconds. Not to worry though, the seals are relatively easy to replace if you have any mechanical knowledge. Hope this helps!! Kippster
