I have a WD-9 and while I don't know if that is the exact engine as in a TD-14 I will say Gary described the same starting procedure I use on the WD-9. The gas/diesel lever on my tractor is up for gas and down for diesel but I have read that some of these International gas/diesel engines have the lever working just the opposite. Also, I usually wait one minute with a cold engine before switching to diesel even if the diesel fuel pressure is up. On my engine the fuel pressure is an indication of whether the fuel filters should be changed or not. Oh, and yes, my engine starts very easily on gas.
