404's have about 35 horsepower. It's a '62 model according to the serial number. No two-stage clutch or live PTO. Most engine parts and maintainence parts (filters, ect.) are avalible from Case-IH and many other sources. Sheetmetal might be a little hard to find, but they did build quite a few 404's, so you might find what you need at a good salvage yard, also check to see if that panel off of a 504 would fit. $1000 sounds about right, but don't pay any more than that because you still need tires and engine work.
