I converted my W6 Diesel to electronic Ignition system last December and what a difference. It now starts whenever I want it to. Last Jan. on a cold Minnesota morning, about 10 degrees below Zero, I decided to try it, just to see if it would start, and to my surprize it started right away. I have also converted some 6 cylinder gas engine in 806 and 766 tractors and what a difference it makes in the way they start. I have found that you do not need to use the choke as much when you first get them going. The engines don't seem to be so cold blooded. Remember just because you are replacing the points assemble you still need to give the advance assembly in the distributor some attention. Those springs, weights, and pins still need cleaning and some lubrication. I would recommend the electronic units to anyone but you have to pay the price. But I feel it's well worth it.
