Hi Gary-Miss my 624 will hiccup and I thought I had a problem until I studied the owners manual where it was stated this will happen if the draft lever is in the dead zone.Moving the draft lever a lttle up or down cures the hiccups right away.
I don`t know if this is the answer but it`s worth a try! good luck Alan
