Likely a couple of things going on at once. Condensation is always a problem. When you think of the large amount of cast iron suroounding the transmission and rear end, a little bit of frost melting can turn into a cup of water in a hurry. After a few freeze and thaw cycles, first thing you know its a quart or 2. Also, the guys are right in suspecting the bolt holes too. Had an H that when it sat outside in the rain, you could go look at the platforn and see which ones leaked and which ones didnt just by if there was still water standing in them or not. If you should take the cover off, you will be able to tell just by looking at the sides of the case if water is leaking by them or not......hope this helps, Rick
