Look for the simple things first. Test to see if there is voltage to the battery side of the coil. Check the wiring to see if the connectors are making decent contact with the copper conductors. This goes for primary & secondary wires. An ohmmeter is a great diagnosis tool. You might want to replace the electronic module with the original points & condenser. At least then you can troubleshoot the problem!
