My father in law has a 1967 656D. The head gasket is shot. It blows out a little and is leaking some oil. Someone told me that this is not uncommom for these tractors. Is that true? How hard is it to change the gasket. I thought about maybe taking on an overhaul project on the thing, but after reading all (and I do mean all) of the 656 posts here, I doubt seriously that the engine is hurt. I have replaced all of the seals in the tranny and fixed the PTO problems. I have just never dove into any engines. I did get a manual on it, but wanted some first hand experience from others before I tried this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
