The change on the decals of the letter series was made sometime in 1946.

We have a early (March)46 H with the McCormick Deering Farmall Decals, and also have a late (Sept.)46 H with the IH McCormick Farmall Decals.

Both of these tractore were bought new by my dad and uncle, neither have been out of the family or changed in any way since they were bought.

Not sure, But I think that this subject is somewhat covered in Guy Fay's book.
