Putting the diff lock in is a serious job. Different differential carrier, bull pinion shaft, brake housing and some other stuff. Can be done but would not be cheap. It was a option and we have had it on all the tractors we bought where it was a option. Couldn't get it on the 1466's we used to have but it would have been well worth the money. It may slip under heavy load conditions, 1066 did, 1086 never did, but usually when you need the diff lock it aint because you have to much traction.
