I've seen a few M tractors with the little K&N cone-shaped filters on them - right at the carb intake. I'm not in awe with the filtration efficiency of K&N filters, though they do allow for little air restriction. As others have said, you can't really beat an oil bath filter - for both efficiency and air flow.
