I did that to my M. I did some modifying to get more hp to run my pull type combine. I just wasn't getting enough air. I had automotive exhaust pipe w/ a 90 degree elbow. Kept the same height as the old system. Got a nice chrome air filter 4"dia. x 2 1/2" filter. Expanded the pipe to fit the filter. A little RTV and 2 screws to seal and hold it. Then the vent tube I torched a hexagon opening in the pipe and snapped the connection off the oil wash and brazed it to the pipe. Made my own brakets for support and it turned out great. Now air only goes down and over instead down up down over. I kept the old oil system for those "You never know when you need it things." I have no regrets.
