I tried holding the plug wire a 1/2 inch away from the plug and got spark. I think there may be a problem getting fuel to the cylinders though. We bought it last year and have been trying to bring it up to specs as far as maintainence goes. The gas tank is rusted inside and needs cleaned out. We will take that off in the next couple of days and get it to a radiator shop. Once we do that, I suppose we can check the lines to make sure there aren't any clogs... My father pulled the carb. apart recently, after it wouldn't start so I am not sure if there could be a problem there. I know it needs a new gasket kit, which we have to put on. I've heard there isn't much to go wrong on these old things, so I'm sure with your suggestions, we'll locate the problem. Thanks for your help!
