Greg, Hugh told you correctly fasten the box to only one end, otherwise the gear cannot articulate over uneven ground. Most people fasten to the rear axle and wagons with hoists of course fasten at the rear axle. You may want to add brackets to the long runners at the front axle that help to support the front axle. Use some of the angle iron that Hugh talked about, bolting it to the long runners so that the angle irons straddle the front axle. Just don't bolt them to the front axle. The front axle needs to float up and down. If you bolt the box down at all 4 corners you will end up bending a spindle.
