Brett, I feel your pain. I ruined a $100 belt on the first mowing from not having it tight enough...it flopped over and broke its' back. I think I'm on my 4th belt on my L306F. It took a while to learn to properly tension the belt...the Woods will stand much more tension than an ordinary belt, and should be run accordingly. The Woods belt also has a built-in twist to dampen flutter that others don't have. Make sure your belt is tightened VERY tight and it will far out-last the cheaper belts. It's made to run that way.
