I'm an idiot

Carb kit finally came in the mail and I was anxious to get the C running again. There was one orafice(?) that would not come out, I should have just left it in because it was clean. But I didn't just leave it alone, I continued to try to unscrew it until it was all buggered up and there were now shreds of brass down behind it. At this point I decided that my Grandpa must have epoxied this thing in but I had already done to much damage to leave it. I decided to use an easy out. I of course put too much confidence in the method (like the first time I used a cheater pipe) and broke the extractor off in the orafice. Now the hole was not just wallowed out, but completely blocked. I had decided that it was a total loss and would begin this morning trying to locate a used replacement. I left it at my neighbor's (who I borrowed the extractor from)house and told him the situation. Everyone should have a neighbor like this, he can work miracles with his patience, experience, and wisdom. Before I got in the shower, he called and said the he had it drilled out without hitting the threads, and and that the new one was in and ready to go. I don't know where I would be without him and others who are eager to share their time and knowledge with idiots like me. I suppose that many of you on this board are like my niegbor with a lifetime of knowledge and willing to help those who are eager to learn.
